For the deaf folks that frequent this site, T.J. is spoken using the sound, “Tee-Jay”. Deciding to skip the “Jay”-bird, Teej is the nickname I am using for this site. Unfortunately, even hearing folks do not know how to pronounce it, mangling it by saying “Teech”. While it is an honor to call me a teacher, I have nothing on those fine people that spent their time ensuring that we all have the foundation to live in this harsh world.
Out of an interest of protecting my public life, yet fostering my eagerness to share deep inner thoughts on this blog, I need to refrain from sharing specific details here. Far too many careers have been ruined by those who can not separate personal thoughts with professional work effort. It is difficult enough to overcome certain stigma of my own deafness in the professional world.
A determined person can easily discover who I am, and for that, it’s okay. Please do not use this knowledge for malicious purposes.
My birthday is on November 23rd, and currently, I am almost 33 years old. However, thanks to my willingness to subvert society’s morals, I am able to appreciate bawdy humor that would move people to a deep blush.
I went to Rochester Institute of Technology (as part of National Technical School for the Deaf) from 1992 to 1997. I attended Patrick Henry High School (and Governor School of the Science and Technology) before then. I have absolutely no interest at this time in pursuing further education outside those typical training classes.
I am a computer geek in its truest form. Computers surround my life in many ways. There are so much to play with, and so little time to appreciate it all. My interest is so wide-ranging, so mastering anything is impossible unless advances in life-extension, and time-turning technologies are made.
I am single. I do date, and have loved and lost said love. I do have wonderful friends I deeply care and loves, though, especially my current roommate.
I am a consultant as part of a giant company with far too many bosses above me dishing out busy-work. Traveling, devising, and advising victims for profit is what I do day in and out.
As noted, I am deaf. I am not the type of person who would force-feed the “Deaf” creed on anyone. I feel at home among my peers, and others who wish to speak in my natural language, American Sign Language, but I do not exclude myself from the hearing world. I deeply believe that I have the best of both worlds. For example, if there is too much noise? All is needed is to shut the hearing aids off.
I live in a wonderful home here in a town just outside Phoenix, Arizona in the United States of America on planet Earth; the third planet found orbiting Sol, our star.
